GDriveSync for VS Code uses Google account access only to read Google Docs that you explicitly connect to the extension.
What data is accessed
- Google account authorization tokens for the connected user
- Google Drive metadata for the Google Docs the user links
- Markdown exports for the linked Google Docs
Where data is stored
- OAuth tokens are stored locally in VS Code secret storage
- Linked file metadata is stored locally in a workspace `.gdocsync.json` file
- No server-side database is used in v1
What is not collected
- No analytics or telemetry are included in v1
- No Google Doc contents are stored on the companion website
- No linked documents are shared with third parties by the extension
